Manfred Mueller, CCH, RSHom(NA), was honored at our Annual Meeting
Manfred Mueller, CCH, RSHom(NA), past president of NASH, was recognized for his ten+ years at the helm of our organization with a plaque and honorary membership. All those at the meeting enjoyed the technical marvels connecting us with Manfred and his wife, Christina, in their home many states (and time zones) away. While Manfred has left his formal post at NASH, he will continue to be involved with the Board as a member of various committees.
Once more we at NASH would like to thank Manfred for his many years of service on the NASH Board working for the advancement of the profession of homeopathy. If you were not able to attend our Member Meeting where we were able to personally thank him and you would like to send your personal congratulations – please email Manfred at ma*****@th*******************.org.

Our next Telecast is About . . . . . .
Homeopaths and the Legal Right to Practice
by our friends at NFHC/NHFA
Did you know that in most states, homeopaths can be prosecuted, fined, and barred from practicing based on charges of practicing medicine without a license? That is because every state has a statute (medical practice act), which bars those who haven’t completed medical school from “practicing medicine”. And the definition of what it means to “practice medicine” includes doing anything to treat illness, or even prevent it!
National Health Freedom Action (NHFA) and National Health Freedom Coalition (NHFC) are working to change that. Aiming to organize health freedom groups in every state, NHFA is helping those groups to introduce and pass safe harbor legislation. These bills give homeopaths, and many other holistic practitioners, such as herbalists, health coaches, and energy healers, exemption from medical practice acts, provided they comply with certain provisions such as not doing invasive procedures, and giving disclosure of their education and training.
Safe harbor bills give protection to homeopaths and other practitioners, and they ensure that consumers of natural health care can have access to the practitioners that they choose. We now have safe harbor bills in ten states, including Minnesota, Rhode Island, California, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Idaho, Arizona (partial, only for homeopaths), Colorado, New Mexico, and our most recent addition, Nevada. NHFA’s goal is nothing less than safe harbor legislation in every state so that homeopaths and other healers can freely practice.
While NHFA is the lobbying, or advocacy (501c4) nonprofit group, NHFC is the educational (501c3) nonprofit group working to educate Americans about the nature of this problem, and training ordinary citizens in many states how they can have an impact on the laws and public policies that they want to see changed.
NHFC and NHFA work on other health freedom issues, such as GMO labeling, and the right of individuals to decline vaccinations. NHFC also hosts the yearly US Health Freedom Congress, which brings together leaders of health freedom organizations to promote greater collaboration in the health freedom movement.
If you would like to learn more about any of these issues, please plan to attend the next NASH Telecast with a representative from NHFC/NHFA:
Monday, May 16, 2016 at 5PM (PT), 6PM (MT), 7PM (CT), 8PM (ET) – Anyone can join us; there is no need to register.
