In the last decades the new frontiers of Bio-Medicine seem to have rediscovered the ancient paradigm of Similarity, which inspired and linked most of the ancient medical systems. Thanks to Samuel Hahnemann’s genius, such an ancient knowledge has been arousing great interest worldwide among physicians, students and researchers. His methodology, which permitted to cure millions of people, has spread in all continents. Recently this methodology has been revisited in light of new approaches which in their turn have generated discordant opinions even within the Homeopathic community. Therefore, a dialectical comparison between Hahnemannian Tradition and Innovation of our days will be at the core of this 74th LMHI Homeopathic World Congress. Evolution cannot do without its own origins. That’s why one says “Future has an ancient heart!”. Apparently, our methodology seems to meet the parameters of the so called “Complexity Medicine” as well as “Precision Medicine”, thanks to its very “personalized” approach. Yet this methodology is constantly the object of criticism and prejudice. We have an obligation to defend and develop it without upsetting and misunderstanding it. Therefore contributions from everyone are most welcome in order to open our Medicine to further enrichment and enhancement! Sorrento has been chosen for this important meeting. It is a true jewel embedded in the Gulf of Naples, famous worldwide for its balmy climate, Mediterranean scents, excellent cuisine and lovely landscape. Each year Sorrento welcomes millions of tourists and… awaits to host all the attendees of the 74th LMHI Homeopathic World Congress in the prestigious Hilton Palace.
The Homeopathic World Congress is an International Congress which involves all the major personalities of homeopathy’s world, to be held September 25 – 28, 2019 in Sorrento (Naples). Visit their website to see that the Congress represents a great network and one of the Main LMHI appointments for the year 2019.

Society backs PGIH report’s call for closer collaboration by CAM groups
Posted on February 5, 2019
The Society of Homeopaths (UK) has published a formal response to the report by MPs highlighting the important role complementary medicine can play in healthcare.
The report, Integrated Healthcare: Putting the Pieces Together, by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Integrated Healthcare (PGIH), published in December, is the first comprehensive review of complementary medicine (CM) for a number of years.
The Society has endorsed many of its conclusions, including the idea of a formal collaborative to bring together leading organisations in the complementary medicine field.
The Society also welcomed the report’s focus on inclusivity and respect for patient choice and pinpointed key challenges highlighted in the report which homeopathy might help to tackle.
They include:
- Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) – the Society considers that homeopathy, along with increased public awareness and other non-drug therapies, can positively contribute to AMR reduction through appropriate and less antibiotic use.
- Sustainability – the report argues that, for healthcare to be sustainable, a “holistic preventative” approach to illness is required. Patients often have multiple conditions and a piecemeal approach to health is frequently ineffective. The Society underlines that homeopathy “recognises the human organism to more than the sum of its parts” and that dysfunction can be expressed as symptoms on physical, emotional and mental levels.
- Effectiveness gaps – the report suggests that the government runs NHS pilot projects using non-conventional ways of treating patients with long-term and chronic conditions affected by ‘effectiveness gaps’. In its response, the Society has pointed to its funding for community clinics offering low-cost homeopathy for vulnerable and low-income groups as a potential model.
Mark Taylor, Chief Executive of the Society, commended the report’s inclusive perspective.
“It is good to see the emphasis on a holistic view,” he said. “Homeopathy’s approach to tackling disease is to look at the patient as a whole person. Following the same principle, we need to bring practitioners from different fields together in collaboration to resolve some of the major health challenges facing society.”

Attend February’s webinar to learn about licensing for homeopaths with the First Nation Medical Board.
Aaron Wolfe-Payton’s work with the First Nation Medical Board has resulted in homeopaths being listed as practitioners by the First Nation Medical Board and accepting them into their medical community.
Homeopaths will be now classified with naturopaths, chiropractors, doctors in alternative health, etc. as a Certified Tribal Healer (CTH) and allowed licensure for on and off the reservations throughout the 50 states.

Opportunities and Events in Homeopathic Education
Just a few spots remain in the new part-time cohort beginning end of January 2019. This group will meet in Thursdays from 12-2 Eastern time for four years and the blended format will be supplemented with one recorded session each week and matriculation in AHE’s unparalleled clinical training program.
AHE courses—and clinics—are available to non-matriculated students and practitioners looking to up their game, hone skills and improve practice outcomes.
Because all AHE students receive 500 face-time clinical hours, our calendar is full of clinical training days. The bustling AHE low-cost clinic provides the opportunity for students to see/analyze a wide variety of LIVE cases, and to watch how they unfold over time. Lively conversations underscore philosophical principles, challenge our knowledge of materia medica and explore how Homeopathy is safely and appropriately applied in the context of contemporary complaints and illnesses.
AHE has embarked on a large-scale clinical research project that includes nearly 200 vetted cases on our clinical training hub. Matriculated students have access to this data base of cases!
Keeping Homeopathy alive and available to all in the US is our mission and we believe that well-trained professional Homeopaths are the answer. Our diverse and welcoming community is committed to raising the bar in Homeopathy education and clinical training. If you’d like to be a part of the changing face of American Healthcare, we want to hear from you.
HOHM Partners Foundation is AHE’s not-for-profit initiative providing free/low-cost Homeopathy to the homeless & addicted populations, conducting high-quality outcomes-based research, providing scholarships and curating a comprehensive historical and research library. This 501c3 gratefully accepts donations to our endeavors.
AHE is happily based in the city of Philadelphia, the birthplace of American Homeopathy, and the home of the Hahnemann Archives. Our classroom and library are nestled in an Arboretum providing a beautiful respite for contemplative study and conversation. Come visit us!
The Caduceus Institute continues to offer a complete distance learning training program in classical homeopathy, along with live online clinical training for intermediate to advanced students of homeopathy. We are also developing a new online module in Case Management, which will start in April. Please contact willakeizer@gmail.com for more information.
We’re busy creating an online learning environment and Certification in The Mueller Method™ of Homeopathy! Learn to continue the work of Hahnemann by removing obstacles to cure, detoxing clients, prescribing for each disorder. Learn investigative case taking and so much more. Go deeper, get better results. THE MUELLER METHOD™ – Use all the tools in your homeopathic toolbox!

Epidemic Update Winter 2019
Well, this is turning out to be an extremely busy winter season! There are several influenza-like-illnesses, as well as influenza, currently raging through the US and Europe. Dr. Herscu shares this short update, building upon his many previous pieces written on this topic, with the assumption that you understand the topic of the genus epidemicus, the difference between acute and chronic prescribing at any given time in your patient, and of course that you know how to keep your patients safe. We hope this clinically validated information helps both at home and in practice.

Attention!
CEU Requirements for NASH Registered Members
All Registered members are required to complete 20 CEU’s for NASH at the time of your renewal. The CEU’s need to occur within the current membership year. CEU’s required for NASH do not carry over to the next year nor do they need to be from only ACHENA accredited schools. Documentation is becoming more and more important; keep track of what educational activities you participate in.
For a complete list of what can be used for CEU’s, click here. If you have questions about your continuing education, please email nashinfo@homeopathy.org.
NOTE: NASH webinars cannot be used towards NASH CEU’s as many have to do with business issues rather than clinical advancement.
