Biography
My journey to homeopathy was winding one as so many of our stories are…my mother was always interested in alternative ways to heal so that was not alien to me …but I got side tracked before finding my way back.
I entered healthcare as a ‘medic’ in the army and then went on for further training as a Pharmacy technician before then moving on to receiving my BSN. I worked a few years on the medical surgical ward but eventually found my calling as a BH nurse. I was in a variety of duty stations around the country and overseas to include a deployment to Iraq where I had the good fortune of providing BH services to the detainees in a detention facility. It was my first exposure to taking a case myself and then going back to staff with my physician. I recognized I wanted to have more autonomy. Yet I could also see the cracks in the allopathic system.
Upon retirement from the army, I endeavored to find a more perfect system to heal in all aspects of a person’s life….but was not sure what that was…until I met Todd Rowe at the American Medical College of Homeopathy and knew homeopathy was what I had been seeking.
I graduated from AMCH in 2015 and then went to India to study with Spero Lactic get more hands-on experience. I have also studied with George Vithoulkas in Greece but my latest trip to study with Dutch Homeopath; Ewald Stoethler was a game changer for my future as a homeopath. In his book, Hahnemann’s Homeopathy; he presents a synopsis of his love of homeopathic philosophy and his dedicated study to the later works of Hahnemann and brilliance of the LM system.
Mr Stoeteler argues that Hahnemann said that his 6th edition was perfect and that complete healing with homeopathy was finally possible using LMs and several remedies to address the layers of disease and lack of reaction that so often happens in our treatment with C potencies. This approach resonates with me as I endeavor to help each individual get back to their core healthy state.
