Shobha Vasa
Biography
Shobha Vasa has witnessed the wonders of Homeopathy since a very tender age as she grew up in Mumbai (Bombay), India in a family where Homeopathy has been the tradition: Her dad, the late Dr. Rasiklal Dani was a popular homeopath and a firm follower of Hahnemann’s principles. He was ably supported in his clinic by his wife Indu Dani. Shobha’s brother is a practicing Homeopath and she continues the family custom. With the support and guidance of her family she has deeply studied and discovered the scientific basis and secrets of Homeopathy.
Shobha earned her Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) in 1993 from the University of Mumbai via CMP Homeopathic Medical College. BHMS is a five and a half years’ full time degree course including one year of internship in Homeopathic Hospital and confers a Doctor credential in India.
After Internship, Shobha worked full time as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) at D. S. Kothari Hospital, Mumbai, following which she received invaluable experience as an assistant to the eminent Homeopathic Doctor K. N. Kasad.
She continued to expand her knowledge of different branches of medicine as an assistant to well-known Pediatrician Dr. Kasbekar and distinguished Gynecologist Dr. Niranjan Joshi in Mumbai.
She continued her learning with CME courses in:
Diabetes from All India Institute of Diabetes
Basic Obstetrics, Gynecology and Family Planning from the reputed Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital
Basic & Preventive aspect of pediatric medicine from Wadia Hospital for Children as well as H. N. (now Reliance) Hospital
Training workshop on STD, HIV, AIDS from Mumbai District AIDS Control Society.
With the blessings of Seniors and encouragement of her peers, she began her own Homeopathic Clinic in Mumbai and gained substantial success and popularity with many patients still reaching out to her for consultations.
Shobha has served on the Mumbai ‘D’ ward Medical Association Committee for two years and has received Certificates of Appreciation for providing free service at Mumbai District TB Control project and The Rotary Club of Mumbai Sunrise for service in District 3140.
She is now settled in Plano, Texas and continuing her practice.
