ASSOCIATION BETWEEN ACUTE AND CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY STATES: A CASE-CONTROL STUDY
Fever is the hallmark of efficient acute inflammatory response, which may be disrupted in chronic inflammatory conditions. Classical homeopathic clinical observations indicate an association between chronic inflammatory status in the body and the ability to mount efficient acute inflammation. In this case-control study, the occurrence of common infections with fever during treatment heralded improvement in chronic inflammatory disease.

Student Testimonials
“I am learning so much! The students are so advanced and it is a pleasure learning from them. The quality of teachers truly surpassed my expectations (not that I assumed it would be less than great but it is exceptional) as you are all absolutely fantastic. You come with so many years of experience and you really have a unique way to translate your knowledge so beautifully.” A.G. Marina Del Rey CA
“Avghi told me on the first day of school that there would be an “A-ha!” moments for each of us and I find that each class I have those moments of feeling the puzzle pieces click into place. The teachers bring experience, enthusiasm and diversity to each lecture. I look forward to my weekends in school as a new adventure that constantly challenges me. The faculty and school support my efforts and encourage me to grow as I study to become a homeopath.” – H.G., Simi Valley, CA
“Since transferring to Los Angeles School of Homeopathy, I have found exactly the support I need for learning the art and science of homeopathy. The instructors are experienced homeopaths, the lectures are always interesting, and there is ample time for all students’ questions to be answered. I leave each weekend feeling inspired about the path I’ve chosen, and confident that with this training I will be a compassionate and capable practitioner.” – C.L., Whitter
It’s clear from Hahnemann’s instructions that we would NOT look to an astrological chart to perceive what needs to be cured. But, for those homeopaths or students of homeopathy who have a solid background in astrology, what can be gleaned?
Suzana Da Costa, an experienced astrologer who graduated from MICH almost 10 years ago, shares her insights and experience in this, the first, of a mini-series of presentations on this fascinating subject.
She explains that as we embark on the application of any tool like astrology in our practice as homeopaths, we learn to embrace the client’s personal experience as our most faithful guide to what is essential for them in their lives. Her studies at MICH enabled her to work with clients in a way that encouraged dialogue, and by learning how to explore subtle dimensions of experience, her confidence grew, as well as her clients’ sense of self empowerment and healing. In her journey of becoming a homeopath, she learned that we’re organized by something greater than ourselves…not just in a conceptual, theoretical way, but that in accessing and developing our relationship with the transpersonal, immaterial level of consciousness we can dissolve unconscious patterns that are creating our suffering.
Her presentation is one that everyone can enjoy, regardless of your interest or experience in astrology.

It’s not too late to join our fully accredited diploma program!
Founded in 2005, MICH has developed an integrated therapeutic and holistic methodology that incorporates the leading edge of bioenergetic medicine and research. What distinguishes our school is a psycho-bioenergetic model of life and health. At the confluence point of all psycho-bioenergetic processes is the mitochondria. They process all inputs on all dimensions in order to provide an energetic whole maintained through constant bio photon communication, DNA emission and the orchestration of cytokines, hormones and the immune system.
Our advanced dialogue techniques incite a deeper level of inquiry, allowing access to the optimal simillimum within the broadest range of remedies possible. Our self paced program and open enrollment means starting when you’re ready and studying when it’s convenient for you. One to one mentorship sessions with experienced practitioners foster your natural talents and unique skills, helping you to develop confidence on your journey towards becoming a homeopath and holistic practitioner. Regular group meetings, audio-visual multimedia presentations and live clinical supervision all contribute to a vibrant student community and fun learning experience. Schedule a free holistic advisory session at www.michmontreal.com today.

Athens, Greece – September 15th – 21st, 2024
Immerse yourself in the beauty, history, and awe of Ancient Greece as we explore historical sights and natural spaces while delving into the story of Circe, the goddess and enchantress of Greek mythology known for her powers of transformation and healing.
During our journey, we will guide you through the Kaleidoscopic Materia Medica found in Circe’s story, providing a foundation for exploring how homeopathy can aid in healing childhood wounds and learning to reparent oneself.
Prepare for a transformative experience, whether you are a student or practitioner of homeopathy, as we open ourselves to personal and homeopathic growth.
Our itinerary includes accommodations and tours, each magical in its own right, with lectures integrated throughout the experience by Je Norbu Huenecke, CCH, RSHom(NA), and Desirée Brazelton, CCH. Detailed information on the lectures will be provided at least one month before departure.
Circe’s mythology offers valuable insights into parenting and re-parenting in the modern world. Her story symbolizes the nurturing and wise mother figure, highlighting the transformative power of love and compassion. This journey symbolizes healing past wounds and traumas through self-care and inner transformation. Applying her lessons, we can foster emotional resilience and promote personal growth.
From a Neo-Classical Homeopathic perspective, Circe’s mythology serves as a metaphor for the individual’s healing journey or individuation. By exploring the signs, symbols, and metaphors in this re-telling of an ancient myth homeopathic practitioners can gain insights into patients’ underlying issues and facilitate profound healing and personal growth in themselves and their clients. SOH runs a 6-7 day clinical workshop annually in the UK. Held in June each year.
Who are the summer schools for?
This intensive, interactive learning opportunity is for the more advanced student in year 2 or higher (year 1 students can come as observers). These clinical events provide 50 of the Clinical Observation hours you need to be a qualified homeopath.
The Summer School is specifically designed for School of Homeopathy students (but is open to others) to ensure you get the highest quality Clinical Observation training. The teaching is interactive (not just talk and chalk), as we get to know each other and learn more about what is going on in the wide world of similimum hunting. To this end, we have a full programme mingling theory and video casework, and also mingling classical with modern approaches.
Date: 5th June – 10th June 2023 (six days)

Did you know? The HOHM Foundation’s Practitioner-Generated Research Network (PGRN) is an initiative that aims to bring together the homeopathy community through research. CEU Requirements for NASH Registered Members
All Registered members are required to complete 20 CEU’s for NASH at the time of your renewal. The CEU’s need to occur within the current membership year. CEU’s required for NASH do not carry over to the next year nor do they need to be from only ACHENA accredited schools. Documentation is becoming more and more important; keep track of what educational activities you participate in.
For a complete list of what can be used for CEU’s, click here. If you have questions about your continuing education, please email nashinfo@homeopathy.org.
NOTE: NASH webinars cannot be used towards NASH CEU’s as many have to do with business issues rather than clinical advancement.
