John Melnychuk, CCH, RSHom(NA) led a lively discussion about the current challenges facing practitioners and the profession and offered his view for a solution.
John has built and runs a thriving practice in Palo Alto, California over the past 20 years. He is internationally known for his clinical work and for his teachings about Autism and developmental delay in children. He was the founder of and is president of the California Health Freedom Coalition. CHFC initiated and succeeded in a campaign to pass California’s landmark Health Freedom Law, (SB577). This law came into effect in 2003, and it effectively allows the homeopaths and other healers to offer their services to 38 million people without fear of being prosecuted for practicing medicine without a license. The public benefit has been that Californians have nearly unlimited opportunities to safely choose among any variety of alternative and complementary healing practices. John was the key leader in our community and architect of the strategy to implement this change in public policy.
John presents a brief overview and analysis of the current state of homeopathy in America, Canada, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He discusses the problems facing homeopaths and various organizations in America. After this introduction, listeners share their view on the state of their own practices and discuss educational opportunities for homeopaths. Together participants discussed how to build our profession, build more schools, improve the schools we have and how to grow our profession. With a remarkable track record, John is on of the most able business and political strategists within the homeopathic community. He is outspoken and, for some, controversial.
