This coming year’s topics include: Aging Population and Their Care — Senior Nutrition, Alzheimer’s, Depression, and Endocrinology. We will have a Public Health track where Vaccine Debates, Nutrition, Prescription Drug Dispensing & Opioids, Psychology and Addiction come to play. Also of great interest are Mind, Body & Mood, Brain Injury; Pain & Pain Management.
Multi-disciplinary sessions, panel discussions, round table presentations (45 minutes) and half-day work shop formats are highly desirable!
Integrative Healthcare Symposium is looking for subject matter experts to present intermediate and advanced level education sessions that provide attendees with actionable solutions to drive our profession into the next 100 years.
Keep the following in mind while creating your session proposal:
- Has this been done before?
The Advisory Committee is looking for original ideas that challenge us to embrace change.
- How will it engage attendees?
The Advisory Committee looks for proposals that provoke discussion and audience engagement.
- Does it address evidence-based practice & clinical takeaways?
- Does it contain advanced level content?
The review process favors advanced level submissions.
Level 1: Basic, requires no prior knowledge/experience
Level 2: Intermediate, requires some prior knowledge/experience
Level 3: Advanced, require an expert level of knowledge/expertise
- Are there practice applications?
The Advisory Committee is looking for sessions that address current challenges faced by integrative professionals and are solution-oriented.
Please be sure to read all instructions prior to submitting a proposal. Due to the high volume of submissions, incomplete proposals or those that contain typographical and grammatical errors will NOT be reviewed.
Speaker Requirements:
- Must have a strong, demonstrated lecturing experience, practice area or research expertise noted in the bio submission.
- State, regional and/or national speaking experience is required.

- Must present for at least 60 minutes to be eligible for an honorarium, if available, and other possible speaker benefits.
- Must be an established expert in the given area in order to qualify for honorarium consideration.
- The Symposium is committed to ensuring that the number of culturally diverse speakers will continue to increase.
- The Symposium may recommend, modify or require alternative speaker(s) prior to any session acceptance.

Diane Miller, JD, writes article in the American Homeopath, the journal of the North American Society of Homeopaths, speaking to the changes in law that reflect the use and essence of homeopathy.
“My work with NHFC and NHFA and the health freedom movement focuses on this pivotal position; finding legal ways to protect both the age-old wisdom of the healing arts and the path of innovation and exploration in healing while, at the same time, honoring the dominant power structures put in place by governments that maintain existing ways of healing…”

Press release from Standard Homeopathics:

Hyland’s Teething Update
Dear Moms and Dads,
Hyland’s, Inc., in response to a request from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has made the very difficult decision to recall its Hyland’s Baby Teething Tablets and Hyland’s Baby Nighttime Teething Tablets. As you may remember, the Company discontinued the manufacture and sale of these same products in October 2016. As part of the recall, consumers should discard any teething products they may have.
It is important for you to know that all manufactured and sold teething medicines met the Company’s safety limit tests and all tested product has been well within an established safety threshold. With this recall, Hyland’s is adhering to what its regulating agency has formally requested.
No other Standard Homeopathic Company/Hyland’s products are affected by this recall.
We very much regret the concern and confusion you may be feeling in regards to these products. Over the past months, we have appreciated the words of support from many of you. We remain confident of the safety of Hyland’s medicines and, with this decision, look forward to continuing to be part of your family’s health care options for another 100 plus years.
Thank you all for your continued loyalty to Hyland’s and for your patience as we work through this process.
Sincerely,
The Hyland’s Family of Employees

In Haiti – Partnerships Make it Happen
April 11, 2017
Homeopaths Without Borders has secured terrific new partnerships with:
- Rotary e-Club of the Caribbean, 7020,
- Rotary Club de Petion-Ville, Haiti,
- Haitian Medical Association,
- Telemedicine Center of Haiti, and
- Organisation de Médecine Homéopathique et Alternative d’Haiti.

This is what we have all been waiting for!
… an amazing breakthrough to partner with respected, internationally-recognized organizations that will provide credibility for homeopathy everywhere.
%203.JPG)
These organizations have asked Homeopaths Without Borders-NA to teach the Fundamentals of Homeopathy course to 20 licensed medical professionals (doctors, nurses, and pharmacists) starting in May 2017.
In order to launch this project, HWB needs to raise $25,000 by April 30th. We’ve already received more than $15,000 – more than halfway to our goal!
Your donation this month will secure the opportunity for HWB to:
- Partner with several Rotary Clubs,
- Teach HWB’s Fundamentals Course to medical professionals,
- Organize community clinics to treat thousands of patients in a 6-month period, and
- Improve community health care and availability where it is most needed.
Our Rotary Club partners are ready to take action on this project to create lasting change.
I encourage you to contribute – every dollar counts. Together we can demonstrate the benefits of homeopathy. Click here to Donate.
Sincerely,

Holly Manoogian, CCH
Executive Director
