I fell in love with Homeopathy in 1981 when my husband and I took our oldest child to see Louis Klein in Vancouver, B.C.for treatment. We knew nothing about Homeopathy, but we saw it as our last chance, having tried everything else.
The consulting process and the perspective on health and disease – not to mention the results- impressed me deeply. When I purchased some books and began reading Kent, my love for this Art and Science grew further.
We eventually made our way to England, where I studied professionally at Purton House School of Homeopathy. I practiced in Saffron Walden and Cambridge for several years. I also registered with the Society of Homeopaths in 1998, of which I am still an overseas member. Finally, we returned to Canada in 1999, where I graduated from Louis Klein’s post-grad Homeopathic Master Practitioner programme and practiced and taught homeopathy in several provinces.
We moved to Ontario in 2009 – to Ottawa and, later, to the village of Vankleek Hill. During that time, I was a registered member of the College of Homeopaths of Ontario, the provincial regulatory body.
COVID and the distance from our family drew us back to Penticton, B.C., where I now live with my husband and two cats. I practice, teach, mentor, and supervise students on Zoom.
I continually study homeopathy and I regularly attend seminars and webinars with many wonderful teachers. Important influences on my homeopathic understanding and education are Louis Klein, Jan Scholten, Ulrich Welte, Michal Yakir, Deborah Collins, Markus Kuntosch, Peter Tumminello, and Jonathan Hardy.
My love for homeopathy has only grown over the years. Yet, I continue to be impressed and astonished at its largely unseen and unrecognized potential for dramatically changing peoples’ lives.

Uma joined Bio Energy Medical Center in 2000. She belongs to a family of medical practitioners, which has been engaged in the field of medicine for over fifty years. The atmosphere in her family has always been conducive to education, since her grandfather and other relatives are medical practitioners, microbiologists, and pharmacists and Uma knew, from an early age, that she wanted to be part of the medical profession; because it helps mankind to be healthier and happier. Understanding “simila similibus curentur”—”like cures like”, the principle of homeopathy— Uma decided to make this her career path.
Throughout her schooling, Uma was a brilliant and outstanding student. She graduated from Sardar Patel University in India with a B.H.M.S (Bachelor of Homeopathy, Medicine, and Surgery) degree. Uma is always learning new aspects and techniques of homeopathy. After completing her BHMS, she practiced homeopathy and joined ICR (Institute of Clinical Research in Homeopathy) for two years to get more experience in classical homeopathy and case taking techniques developed by well-known homeopaths, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), Dr. M. L. Dhawale and others. She is a Registered member of the North American Society of Homeopaths. Uma has presented many cases in seminars and workshops with her colleagues and she volunteers services to the poor and schools in underdeveloped areas.

My name is Tarvinder Dhingra. I have done my graduation in Homeopathic medicine from Smt C.M.P.H. Medical college, Mumbai India. This is a 5 and a half year duration course, which includes all the subjects like anatomy, physiology, surgery, pathology, gynecology, medicine. It obviously includes a detailed study of Organon, Materia medica, repertory, and history of homeopathy. Our training also included participation in the out patient department of our hospital, as students and observers with our seniors from the second year of training. The last one year of the course is only internship with all the homeopathic physicians, where we assist them in managing the out patient department, and case taking and management.
After graduating in 2003, I also practiced independently for 4 years, where I handled numerous chronic cases on my own. I left the country for personal reasons to first travel to Europe, and then USA. I passed my CHC examination in May 2016, and was awarded the certification in October of 2016.
Homœopathy is a great passion of Karen M. Diefenbach’s. It is to homœopathy that she attributes much of her health and well-being. She has become a certified classical homœopath in order to “pay it forward,” so to speak, as she is very grateful to have found this modality that she feels has changed the course of her life in significant ways. She really loves working with clients who are on their healing journey by way of homœopathy, as it offers a chance to help initiate a more complete and rewarding experience in the realms of touching the levels of body, mind, and spirit. She understands that the tradition of homœopathy is one of holism, as it is a profession that she sees as converging with the wisdom and integrity of the laws of nature. Her background as a holistic health practitioner for 28 years certainly contributes greatly to this process.
I am a licensed Naturopathic Physician and Registered Homeopath with the College of Homeopaths of Ontario. I have studied with Lou Klein, completing the 3 year Homeopath Master Clinician training and I travel regularly in the fall to Europe to study with Rajan Sankaran. I have been a lecturer and teacher of alternative medicine and I believe in supporting the homeopathic community, hosting the Homeopaths of British Columbia Facebook site. I believe homeopathy belongs as part of an integrated health care system.
